This post is for all my dog moms out there who are currently bathing their babies at home! In my great attempt to keep my baby’s happy, healthy, and clean I decided to bathe my dog at home this past weekend due to the COVID-19 pandemic because better to just say home. Phoebe normally goes to a doggie spa as I like to call it so this new adventure put me on the hunt for the perfect dog shampoo and conditioner and I have to tell you I found so much more than that.
Burt’s bees is a brand I already trust and use for myself so often that when I found out they made dog products I instantly went down that black hole digging for all the right things for our four legged baby girl.
We landed on the following four products from Burt’s bees:
- Burt’s Bees Shed Control Shampoo – Phoebe shed’s, not an insane amount but still enough that you see the difference when the actual dog grooming place she goes uses shed control shampoo so for that reason I decided that was the best shampoo option.
- Burt’s Bees Oatmeal Conditioner – The smell of this is great and left Phoebe smelling amazing and so soft!
- Burt’s Bees Paw & Nose Lotion – I originally was not planning on getting anything other than shampoo and conditioner but then I saw this and thought about how our feet are protected by our shoes and our four legged babies walk on their paws all day unprotected. So we bought it for her and it smells nice but most of all is smooth and very hydrating for her nose and paws she also loved the foot massage!
- Burt’s Bees Ear Cleaner & Cotton balls – We have a beagle and that means big flappy ears that keep all the dirt trapped inside. Our vet told us it was important we clean her ears so we went with Burt’s Bees ear cleaner and so far it’s worked like a charm!
I loved the Burt’s bees products and I wanted to share this with the dog moms who read because taking care of our pets sometimes takes research and careful planning and these produced were both gentle and easy on Phoebe but on me as well while I bathed her. Plus for the low prices, they are worth it.
