Picking my Bridesmaids Dresses

The hardest thing so far in my wedding planning process has been picking the bridesmaids dresses. I have 9 bridesmaids and 1 maid of honor, so you can imagine that with nine different bridesmaids it’s easy to have different body types and trying to make sure everyone looks good in the exact same dress is… well almost impossible.

It was so incredibly difficult because I desperately did not want to be one of those brides who puts all her friends in ugly dresses on her wedding day. For one, they would have killed me but two lets be real they’re paying for these dresses because they love me. The least I can do is make sure it’s a nice dress. Some women enjoy down playing their friends because for some reason they think it makes them look better but honestly, you’re going to be in a lot of my wedding pictures… If you look bad, my photo looks bad, so I want you to look great in that dress. See still kinda selfish, but way better than the ugly dress method that some terrible friends force their bridesmaids to wear.

So I took three girls with me that I think would give me an idea on if the dress would be flattering on everyone and we went on a hunt.

Dress by dress, each one liked by one and hated by another. It was getting tough and then just like that, in the Vera Wang section of the store we found it.

The perfect dress.

We got it in halter for the bridesmaids, strapless for my maid of honor, it was amazing. Looked great on all of my girls and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Not to mention they had pockets, and a slit… talk about your perfect dress.
