What is it about 80’s Rom Coms

I was a 90’s baby but a strong fan of the 80’s romantic comedy films. I grew up on Molly Ringwald and pretty in pink and I think a lot of girls really fell for the outline of these movies. The guy becoming or being what they want and the sort of story book ending that does not usually play out that way in real life.

80’s Rom Coms are like Disney fairytales, but for teenagers/young adults.

I mean when Harry met Sally is basically the greatest story of the 80’s just a two people who has known each other since collage and always seemed to find each other throughout all walks of life, friends who seem to continuously cross paths. Until they finally realize that they were meant for each other. It allowed young girls to dream and I think that’s the draw.

They don’t make movie’s like that in my opinion anymore, you won’t find something as unique as Heather’s in the movies released today and it leaves a big whole in the movie industry for girls running from thirteen through about nineteen with this.

Clueless is still so idolized and people still watch it, girls still dress like it for halloween. The 80’s Rom Coms are iconic and movies today don’t have that ability. I read the outsiders and watched the movie for fun, not because it was school required. I mean the story of Pony boy, it’s worth every moment.

I have listed my top thirteen 80’s Rom Coms below, if you haven’t seen them pick a day and watch them all. I swear they are worth it!
