Unwind After A Long Week

To all my lovely readers it’s Friday and I am sure plenty of you had stressful weeks and some of you might already be stressing your weekend plans well I am here to help you. Usually when the clock strikes 5 on a Friday you already feel the weight lift off your shoulders and then you get home…

There are kids or pets running around, laundry to get done and the pile in the dishes is screaming your name well, no more! Let me help you get rid of that Friday stress my friends.

First off if you have a dog take them for a walk, but enjoy the walk. Don’t go outside and stare at your phone or huff and puff at your dog about how long they are taking, take a second and just enjoy your time outside with your dog. (If you don’t have a dog, still take a nice walk, or go get a dog).

Next do me a favor, and go to the gym. A lot of people tell me they don’t work out on Fridays and I still don’t understand why. When you work out your brain releases endorphins. Endorphins work with the receptors in your brain that reduce your view of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, they make you happy. Who doesn’t want to be happy on a Friday after work?

When you get back from your work out, TAKE A BATH! Don’t shower, immerse yourself in a bath tub with some bubbles and dim lighting and just breathe. Have kids? Ask your hubby to help you out he takes an hour and you take an hour to yourselves so you can both get some piece of mind on this nice relaxing Friday night.

Dinner Time! Go out to eat, enjoy a fun dinner out with the hubs, the kids, or by yourself whatever works. Just don’t cook, enjoy this one night out of the kitchen and get the stress of dinner out of your Friday night.

Just a reminder that it’s important to take time for yourself and to make sure that you aren’t over extending yourself because that’s never good. Be positive and find the things that make you zen out.
